Under Wood Underfloor Heating Services
Our electric carbon film underfloor heating system is the perfect solution for fitting underfloor heating below an engineered wood or laminate floor. This system is ultra-thin at just 7mm including your insulation layer. Flooring is then fitted over the top and the system is controlled using a 7-day programmable room thermostat.
Under Tile Underfloor Heating Services
Our electric cable mat underfloor heating system is designed for use below floor tiles including ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles, and natural stones. The mats come in a variation of sizes and once fitted the system is usually overlaid with a floor screed before tiling with floor tiles. The system is controlled using a 7-day programmable room thermostat.
Under LVT Vinyl Underfloor Heating Services
Our electric carbon film underfloor heating system is combined with our dual overlay boards. These boards create a floating floor over your heating system which is suitable to then install LVT Vinyl Flooring like Amtico and Karndean over the top. This underfloor heating system is still quite thin at just 14mm including your insulation layer and your dual overlay boards. The system is controlled using a 7-day programmable room thermostat.
Under Carpet Underfloor Heating Services
Underfloor heating is provided by our electric carbon film underfloor heating system in combination with our dual overlay boards. These boards create a floating floor over your heating system which is suitable to then install carpet flooring over the top. Including your insulation layer and dual overlay boards, this underfloor heating system is still quite thin at 14mm. The system is controlled using a 7-day programmable room thermostat.

Can my underfloor heating system be controlled separately from my existing heating system?
Yes, our underfloor heating systems are controlled using a programmable room thermostat. This allows you to operate your underfloor heating independently from your existing heat source.
Can your company complete the full job including the relevent electrical work and the finish floor installation?
Yes, we supply our own Select registered electrician who will connect your underfloor heating system up to the current wiring regulations. We also have a team of floor fitters who can install the perfect floor covering over the top of your heating system.
How likely are you to damage an underfloor heating system once its installed below your floor?
Very unlikely, our electric underfloor heating systems have no moving parts. The only way to really damage the system is to cut through the floor and be unfortunate enough to hit the heating system installed.
We keep your floor heating system 100mm from the edges around the perimeter of your room, this is to allow for safe removal of flooring, skirting, beading etc.
Does the underfloor heating come with a warranty?
Yes, our electric underfloor heating systems come with a minimum 10 year warranty, some of our products also come with a lifetime warranty from the manufacturers.
What would be the build height to my floor if i add underfloor heating?
Each system is different however below we have listed a guideline for the overall build height of floors fitted with electric underfloor heating.
- Underfloor heating below engineered wood or laminate flooring = 7mm
- Underfloor heating below floor tiles = 20mm
- Underfloor heating below LVT luxury vinyl flooring = 14mm
- Underfloor heating below carpet flooring = 14mm

Whats the best electric underfloor heating system to use in my home?
All our electric underfloor heating systems work fantastically well, however some systems work better than others and this is usually determined by the finish flooring you fit over your underfloor heating system.
For us carpet flooring isn’t the greatest floor covering to fit over an electric underfloor heating system. Simply because of the overall build height your fitting over the heating elements. Wood tiles or vinyl are the best floor coverings and these three options perform fantastically well when used throughout your property.
Can i use rugs over my flooring if i have an electric underfloor heating system fitted below?
Rugs are not recommended for use when you have an electric underfloor heating system fitted below your floor. The rugs block the heat which in turn can damage your finish floor covering and in extreme cases damage your underfloor heating system. We recommend you do not use rugs with any form of electric underfloor heating.
How long does it take to install underfloor heating?
Our electric underfloor heating systems usually take no more than a day or two to install. Obviously every project is different but as a rule of thumb allow a day for installing the heating system in each room. We will confirm a time schedule once your project has been estimated.
What are the running costs of an electric underfloor heating system?
The cost of electric underfloor heating can be as low as 5p per square meter.
It is based on running the system for seven hours a day. While actual costs will vary depending on your tariff, insulation plays a much bigger role in determining underfloor heating costs.
The better insulated the floor, the quicker the warm-up times will be and the less energy will be used. Installing insulation boards will dramatically reduce warm-up times, saving you money every time you use your underfloor heating system.
