How To Measure Your Room

How To Measure Your Room

Measure the maximum length and width at the rooms' widest points, remembering to measure into the door frame as the flooring should end under the door. (5)

Multiply the width measurement by the length measurement to give you an idea of the total square metres required.

Measure length x width (1 x 2)

Minus (3 x 4) = total flooring required

To work out an approximate price take the square metre price e.g. £15.00 and multiply it by your total square metres.

£15.00 x 10m2 = £150.00 you will also need to add other costs like insulation/underlay, door bars, beading/skirting and fitting accessories and tools.

If the room is not a regular shape then measure the size of any coves e.g. Fireplaces or alcoves and deduct these from your over all area, however please remember and always add 10% for waste and cuts.
